Construction at Sunnydale is being led by Mercy Housing California and Related California. When the transformative development plan is complete, there will be 1,700 new homes in the Sunnydale neighborhood targeted to mixed income levels. The transformation plan is grounded in an anti-displacement mission and includes the construction of new, affordable housing for every current Sunnydale resident, along with affordable and market-rate housing for new residents. All residents will also enjoy new amenities such as infrastructure improvements, new parks and open space, neighborhood-serving commercial enterprises, and a state of the art community center and recreation center.
