Exciting news! The Herz Recreation Center has reached substantial completion and will be opening to the public in early January 2026. The Herz Recreation Center includes an indoor basketball court with bleachers, a multi-purpose room, an outdoor community fitness plaza, a nature exploration area, and outdoor gathering spaces. Led by San Francisco Recreation and Park Department in collaboration with Mercy Housing and Related California, the Herz Recreation Center will provide important community amenities and serves as a new gateway into John McLaren Park. The Herz Center seamlessly connects to surrounding community facilities including The Hub, Herz Playground, and Coffman Pool.
