Construction is underway at Sunnydale! We are so excited about the current construction progress and can’t wait for these long-awaited buildings and amenities under construction to open to the public!

The Hub, the brand new community center at the corner of Sunnydale and Hahn, is finishing up construction in time to open to the public this Fall 2024. The Hub will feature new community and programming spaces, including a Living Room, multipurpose rooms, and recording studio open to all, plus a new home for Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco and Wu Yee Children’s Services. Just across the street, on the south side of Sunnydale Ave and Hahn, we are also under construction on Amani and Nia (Buildings 3A & 3B), which will provide 170 new affordable homes and ground-floor retail and services. These buildings are set to open at the beginning of 2025. The new Herz Recreation Center, in partnership with the SF Recreation & Parks Department, and featuring a new full-size indoor basketball court and indoor and outdoor recreation space, is also under construction and will open to the public in mid-2025. In addition to these new buildings, we’ve completed construction of the new roadway, utilities, and sidewalks along the 1500 block of Sunnydale Avenue.

Last but not least, we are planning to begin construction on the next infrastructure phase, the Western Access Road and Phase 3 (Santos Street, Sunnydale Ave, and Velasco Ave), later in 2024, which will pave the way for the future housing and open space. Stay tuned for more information about this important work.
